Vocation Obfuscation

Tuesday, May 31st, 2005

The road less-taken beckons before me.

I wonder if this is something all adults deal with; questions that are too hard to answer, the question of why.

Why do we do, what we do? For what purpose?

Economic security?
Prestige?
Lack of choice?
Apathy?

The road, well-worn, is taken by most for very valid reasons.

The road less-travelled, though, does have a mystique all its own.

This fork in the road is a much more complicated task than I thought it would be.

So Many Blessings.

Unfounded Fear and Trepidation

Friday, May 13th, 2005

I have not blogged for a while, since a pleasant but nerve wracking event has happened in the Aguila household …

My mother-in-law is living with us! ( Cue doom and gloom music)

As the title undoubtedly gave away already, all is well. I am blessed to have an in-law like the Cauilans. Mommy is especially cool, being genuinely pleasant and a great cook.

Now if I only grow the cojones to say no to the delicious meals being prepared daily … three pounds have crept up on me, and latched like a barnacle on my belly again. Oh well, at least I enjoyed the (lack of) diet I have been on.

Off to try to burn this blubber!
